Patrick Wagner - Collision and Body Shop Lead at Frankman Motor Company in Sioux Falls SD

Meet Patrick Wagner

Collision & Body Shop Lead

Patrick Wagner leads our collision repair and general body work department. When you bring your vehicle to Frankman's body shop, Patrick is your single point of contact — from the initial damage assessment to the final quality check before your vehicle leaves our shop. He coordinates directly with your insurance company, keeps you updated on progress, and makes sure every repair meets our standards.

At Frankman Motor Company, you deal with real people — not a corporate call center. Patrick answers your calls, Patrick manages your repair, and Patrick makes sure you're happy with the result.

Why Choose Frankman Motor Company's Body Shop?

When your car needs body work or collision repair, you want a shop that puts you first — not your insurance company. Here's what makes Frankman's body shop different from every other shop in the Sioux Falls area.

Not a DRP Shop — And That's a Good Thing

We are not a Direct Repair Program (DRP) shop for any insurance company. That means we work for you — not your insurer. We don't cut corners to meet insurance cost targets, and we don't answer to anyone except the vehicle owner. Your car gets repaired the right way, every time.

We Work with All Insurance Companies

No matter who your insurance provider is — State Farm, Geico, Progressive, Allstate, USAA, or any other — we work with them all. We handle the claims process, communicate directly with your adjuster, and advocate on your behalf to make sure nothing gets shortchanged.

Quality Repairs, No Shortcuts

We use quality parts and proven repair techniques on every job. Our technicians take the time to do the repair correctly — not quickly. From precision paint matching to structural alignment, we don't sign off on a vehicle until it meets our standards.

One Person, Start to Finish

When you call Frankman's body shop, Patrick Wagner answers the phone. Not a rotating team of advisors or a call center. Patrick manages your repair from the initial estimate through final delivery — and he's available every step of the way.

Open to the Public

You don't need to buy a car from Frankman Motor Company to use our body shop. Our collision repair and body work services are open to everyone in the Sioux Falls metro area — whether you drive a brand new truck or a 20-year-old sedan.

Family-Owned Since 1988

Frankman Motor Company has been a trusted name in Sioux Falls for over 35 years. Our body shop operates with the same family values that built this business — honest estimates, quality work, and treating every customer like a neighbor.

Your insurance company has a preferred shop. You have a choice. Choose the shop that works for you.

Why "Not Being a DRP Shop" Is the Best Thing for Your Repair

Most people don't know what a DRP (Direct Repair Program) shop is — but it directly affects the quality of your collision repair. A DRP shop has a contractual agreement with an insurance company. In exchange for getting referrals, the shop agrees to follow the insurer's repair guidelines, use their preferred (often cheaper) parts, and keep costs within the insurer's targets.

That means a DRP shop's first obligation is to the insurance company — not to you. At Frankman Motor Company, we have no such agreements. Our only obligation is to the vehicle owner.

DRP Shop

  • Contractually obligated to the insurance company
  • Must follow insurer's repair guidelines and cost caps
  • May use aftermarket or reconditioned parts to cut costs
  • Incentivized to complete repairs quickly, not thoroughly
  • Less likely to push back on underpayment from the insurer
  • The insurer is their real customer — not you

Frankman Body Shop

  • Zero contractual obligations to any insurance company
  • We set the repair plan based on what the vehicle needs
  • We use quality parts and proper repair procedures
  • We take the time to do the job right — period
  • We advocate for you if the insurer tries to underpay
  • You are our only customer — your satisfaction is what matters

Important: You always have the right to choose your own body shop. Your insurance company may recommend or "prefer" a specific shop, but by law, you are never required to use it. You have the legal right to take your vehicle to any licensed repair facility you choose. Choose the shop that works for you — not your insurer.

Yes. We work with all insurance companies — State Farm, Geico, Progressive, Allstate, USAA, American Family, and every other insurer. We handle the claims process directly, communicate with your adjuster, and advocate on your behalf to make sure the repair is done properly. We are not a DRP (Direct Repair Program) shop, which means we have no contractual obligations to any insurer and our only loyalty is to you, the vehicle owner.
DRP stands for Direct Repair Program. A DRP shop has a contractual agreement with an insurance company — in exchange for customer referrals, the shop agrees to follow the insurer's repair guidelines and cost targets. This can result in corners being cut, cheaper parts being used, and repairs that prioritize the insurer's bottom line over quality. Frankman Motor Company has no DRP agreements with any insurance company. We set our own repair standards, use quality parts, and answer only to the vehicle owner. This independence allows us to advocate for proper repairs and push back if an insurer tries to underpay a claim.
Yes. By law, you have the right to choose any licensed body shop for your insurance claim. Your insurance company may recommend or "prefer" a specific shop through their DRP network, but they cannot require you to use it. You are always free to bring your vehicle to Frankman Motor Company's body shop, and we will work directly with your insurer to handle the claim.
No. Our body shop and collision center are open to the public.
