1956 Cadillac Series 62 Sedan | 365CI V8 | Hydramatic | Cascade Grey Two-Tone | 12,618 Miles | Believed Original
In 1956, Cadillac was the undisputed Standard of the World. The Series 62 was the heartbeat of the brand elegant, powerful, and built with a level of craftsmanship that Detroit has never quite replicated. This example, finished in Cascade Grey over Camelot Grey two-tone with a grey and white interior, is one of the finest surviving four-door sedans you’ll find anywhere.
12,618 miles. Let that sink in. On a 70-year-old luxury car, that number represents a level of preservation that is genuinely rare. The 365CI V8 introduced for the first time in 1956 and rated at 285 horsepower with 400 lb-ft of torque sits in an engine bay that tells the story of a car that has been respected its entire life. Backed by the upgraded 1956 Hydramatic automatic a specifically significant detail, as Cadillac’s 1956 transmission received a major refinement that makes this the preferred year among knowledgeable collectors this car drives the way a car with this kind of care should.
The Cascade Grey and Camelot Grey two-tone is one of the most elegant color combinations offered on the 1956 Series 62. Combined with the grey and white interior, this car has a cohesive, refined presentation from every angle. The chrome is present and correct, the fins are purposeful without being excessive, and the overall stance is exactly what a mid-fifties Cadillac should be.
This is not a car that needs anything. It is a legitimate low-mileage survivor that is ready to show, cruise, or simply add to a serious collection. Cars like this genuine mileage, correct color, correct drivetrain, presenting this well do not come around often.
